Description

Recipe Courtesy of Nordic Ware with Permission.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup confectioners sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions:

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients. Blend on low speed for 1 minute, scraping the bowl often.
  3. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes; then turn out onto a cooling rack and cool completely.
  7. Makes 6 leaves.
