Description
You will need:
- Black Pisa Muffin Cups
- Orange Sanding Sugar
- Black Sanding Sugar
- 1 bag large marshmallows
- Your favorite cupcake recipe
- Your favorite frosting recipe (we love buttercream)
- Decorating bag and large star tip (optional)
Instructions:
- Bake cupcakes according to instructions in black Pisa muffin cups. Let cool.
- While cupcakes are cooling, prepare the frosting and set aside. Dye using Electric Orange and Super Black food coloring, if desired.
- Cut marshmallows into disc shapes using kitchen shears. Lay on a cutting board or wax paper surface. Marshmallow pieces will be sticky.
- Immediately sprinkle marshmallows with black and orange sanding sugar. Lightly press into the sticky surface of the marshmallow.
- Frost each cupcake using a decorating bag or a spatula.
- Arrange marshmallow pieces in a flower-like pattern on top of each cupcake.
- Display on a cake plate and serve.
