Description

You will need:

  • Mehndi Cookie Stencil Set
  • Hillary Muffin Cups
  • Cupcake recipe of your choice
  • No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe
  • Leaf Cut-Out Cookie Cutter Set
  • Icing or frosting recipe of your choice
  • Assorted Gel Food Colors
  • 3-4 Squeeze Bottles or pastry bags

Instructions:

  1. Make cupcake recipe. Bake in Hillary Muffin Cups and cool as directed. Frost as desired with decorating bag. Use white icing or experiment with gel food colorings to get the best color results.
  2. Using No Fail Sugar Cookie Recipe, make dough and cut out "paisley" shapes using leaf cut-out set.
  3. Bake cookies and let cool. In the meantime, prepare your icing and dye it however you desire. Fill squeeze bottles or pastry bags with icing.
  4. Frost a base layer of white royal icing on each cookie. Let it dry.
  5. Using the Mehndi cookie stencil, place it on top of each cookie and carefully use the stencil and royal icing to achieve the design on top of the cookie. Carefully lift off the stencil when you are done icing. Do not let the icing start to dry before you have taken the stencil off the cookie. Repeat the process on the remaining cookies. Let them all dry.
  6. Place all of the cupcakes on a tray (or wherever they will be stored). Adhere each iced cookie to the top of each frosted cupcake by slightly sticking it into the frosting to hold it in place.
  7. Store in an airtight container.
