Description

Ingredients:

  • 1 piecrust (whatever your favorite is)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated maple sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup real maple syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Form piecrust to pie dish and refrigerate.
  3. Combine the melted butter, sugar, and salt in a food processor or mixer.
  4. Add maple syrup and blend for 30 seconds.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking for about 15 seconds each.
  6. Add cream, cider vinegar, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined and the mixture is smooth.
  7. Pour the filling into the chilled piecrust.
  8. Bake for approximately 50 minutes – the pie will puff up and be just slightly wobbly.
  9. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool, ideally for at least 4 hours.
