Ingredients:

Cake:

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • dash of ground clove
  • dash of ground pepper
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg

Nutmeg glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare the Autumn Delights pan with baking spray.

Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, combine the milk, sugar, oil, and vanilla. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and combine.

Evenly spoon the batter into the pan. Tap gently on the counter to remove air bubbles.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into one of the center cakes comes out clean.

Let the cakes cool for 10 minutes before inverting them onto a cooling rack.

For the glaze, combine the powdered sugar and melted butter in a medium bowl. Add the freshly grated nutmeg and stir in milk to achieve the desired consistency.

Pour the glaze over the cooled cakes.
