Serves: Makes 16 servings
Ingredients:- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Cinnamon Extract
- 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup finely chopped peeled apple
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix sugar, butter, and extracts in a large bowl until well blended. Stir in egg. Add flour and baking powder; mix well. Stir in pecans and apples.
- Spread in a greased 8-inch square pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack. Cut into 16 squares.
