Use our brown natural food coloring to add a warm brown hue to royal icing, frosting, smoothies and other creamy beverages, and ice cream. Made without artificial dyes or ingredients, this water-soluble liquid color is plant-based, odorless, and tasteless. Concentrated brown natural food coloring made from ingredients that occur naturally in plants is best when used in no-bake or cold applications. It is a great alternative to artificial colorants and perfect for adding to royal icing, frosting, buttercream, and granulated sugars for decorating. Brown natural food coloring for cold-process use is also a great choice for coloring milk-based or plant-milk based drinks such as smoothies, shakes. It is ideal for adding color to ice cream and other frozen desserts. Because it is made from plant-based ingredients, the final color will be sensitive to temperature during preparation and can fade significantly during high-heat applications such as baking. This plant-based food color will be most vibrant in acidic environments.

Usage: Use 1/2 to 3/4 of a percent based on total volume to start. Color will be most vibrant when total pH is in the 4-5 range.
