Description
You Will Need:
- 1500 g milk or dark chocolate (US Measure: 3.25 pounds/52.5oz) Note: this recipe works fine with Candiquick or Almond Bark commonly found in local grocery stores in 16 oz (1 pound) packages
- 2 egg whites
- 300 g Confectioner's Sugar (US Measure: 2.4 cups)
- Silicone 3D Cottage Mold
Instructions:
- Melt the chocolate in a double boiler on the stove or carefully use the microwave, remembering to stir frequently to avoid burning. Do not boil the chocolate. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging for best results.
- Pour the liquid chocolate into the mold up to the top edge.
- Use the remaining chocolate to form a base slab. To do this, pour the remaining chocolate into a springform pan.
- Put the chocolate-filled molds in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes until hard.
- Carefully remove the cottage pieces from the mold.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff, gradually add the confectioner's sugar and stir until creamy.
- Pour the icing into a squeeze bottle with a fine nozzle.
- Apply a thin coating to the edges of the cottage frame. Place the cottage frame on the base slab, press together briefly, and leave to dry for about 1 hour. Finally, mount the roof and the figures using the icing. Allow it to dry completely.
- Use the remaining icing to decorate the house, fir trees, and figures.
